Cummins Announces New Lean-Burn Engine For Gas Compression Applications At Lagcoe

Lafayette, LA - Cummins Inc. recently announced the release of the KTA19GCSLB gas compression driver for the oil and gas market.

The new KTA19GCSLB is Cummins latest response to the Environmental Protection Agency's New Source Performance Standard (NSPS) recent regulation for stationary spark-ignited engines.

Building on the successful performance of Cummins KTA19GC engine, the new KTA19GCSLB will be certified to meet the 2008 NSPS regulation of 2.0-gr/hp-hr NOx, 4.0-gr/hp-hr CO and 1.0-gr/hp-hr Non-Methane Hydrocarbons (NMHC). The KTA19GCSLB engine is rated at 420 hp (313 kw) at 1800 rpm and is designed for gathering and related gas compression applications. The engine is equipped with an electronic ignition, governor and air fuel ratio controller, and utilizes many of the same heavy-duty internal components such as the block, crankshaft and connecting rods used in Cummins diesel engines.
